The Best Way to Burn Body Fat

Most people go on starvation diets to burn fat only to give up in frustration a few days later. Those who succeed on a starvation diet temporarily lose weight but not much body fat. The weight loss consists of muscle instead of fat and this makes a person look sickly. The best way to burn body fat is listed below. Follow these 4 rules and you’ll burn fat, lose weight and keep it off.

  • 3 to 5 Sessions per Week of Aerobic Activity

Regular exercise not only burns extra calories but it also makes your body more efficient at burning fat. As a result, your daily metabolism will be significantly higher. 

To burn fat, you should get regular exercise. Doing some type of aerobic activity is a sure way to burn calories and body fat. You can walk at a fast pace 20 to 30 minutes a day, 4 times a week. Other suggestions are:

  • Stationary Biking (with back support)  or Biking in Local Neighborhood
     
  • Walk (fast pace) During Your Lunch Break
     
  • Shoot a Basketball for 20 minutes

  • Eat 5 to 6 Small Meals

You can burn fat without any additional exercise simply by eating 5 to 6 times per day and eating small meals. This keeps your blood sugar level through the day and when your blood sugar stays level without excess insulin, your burns through its fat reserves.  Plan 5 or 6 small meals of fruits, veggies, lean meats and even starch foods like brown rice and potatoes. Avoid junk food.
 

  • Reduce Sugar

Even on a good diet, if you consume too much sugar, your body will secrete excess insulin making it more resistant to burning fat. Read the labels on all the foods you eat. A good rule of thumb is to eat less than 15 grams of sugar for any one food item.

You can eat more calories per day and lose weight on a low sugar diet because sugar is the one ingredient that makes it difficult for your body to use it’s fat reserve. Unfortunately, sugar is contain in just about everything we eat, so read the label and limit sugar consumption to less than 15 grams per food item.
