Average Daily Calorie to Lose Weight
I need to lose weight. My height is 5’
4” and I’m a 39 year old female. What is the average daily
calorie intake that I need to lose weight?

Most women should intake an average of
1200 to 1400 calories to lose 1 to 2 pounds per week. If
your intake is 1200 calories and you walk at a fast pace 25
minutes per day, you can expect to lose 2 pounds per week.
If you consume 1200 calories with no exercise, you will lose
about a pound per week.
By the way, men need to intake about
1600 to 1800 calories to lose 1 to 2 lbs per week. The same
rules for exercise apply to men.
